Therapy/Counseling – What to Expect?
Therapy is a space where two individuals come together to intentionally and kindly look at aspects of life that require care.
One of the most beautiful and challenging aspects of being a person is our ability to look at our self and/or our life and know that something needs to change. This knocking on the inside, that says “Hey, it’s time to heal.” “Hey, we need to find a way to grow from this.” “Hey, we can’t keep living this way.” all comes with great beauty and challenge. These sort of inner knockings may be best supported by the presence of another person trained in navigating such times of change and growth. That is where therapy comes in.
Initially, you can expect us to take time to get to know each other. Giving opportunity to see if therapy and us working together feels like the right answer to your concerns. From there, we will take a unique approach, deepening in on how change may begin to intentionally unfold. In therapy, you can expect to get to know yourself more fully than you ever have. You can expect to be able to talk about and explore anything on your mind and heart. You can expect to step into a more whole sense of self. All within a space that accepts and cares for you.
